FAQ
Do I need to reserve a table in advance?
Yes, reservations are highly recommended, almost mandatory, especially between 12pm and 2pm when the restaurant is often full. You can make a reservation by phone on +45 33 11 15 37 or show up on site about 2 hours in advance to have a chance of getting a table.
What are the opening hours?
Slotskælderen at Gitte Kik is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm (kitchen closes at 3 pm). The restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays, with the exception of December.
What type of food do you serve?
We serve traditional and authentic Danish food, specializing in smørrebrød with a large selection of flavours: fish, meat, cheeses and local specialties. We also offer warm dishes and a selection of beer, schnapps and wine to accompany the meal.
How is the service at the restaurant?
You choose your smørrebrød directly at the counter, where all the dishes are prepared so you can see exactly what you order. Service then takes place at the table in our cozy and historic atmosphere.
Do you accept credit cards and foreign currency?
Yes, we accept all credit and debit cards, contactless payments (NFC) and all currencies.
